The Current Grants are being offered in accordance with the Foundation’s bylaws, which encourage and support programs that:
-
Provide reduced class sizes;
-
Provide direct services to students at the classroom level;
-
Promote student's eagerness to learn;
-
Provide learning opportunities through creative and sound methods;
-
Promote extra-curricular and inter-scholastic activities; and
-
Provide opportunities for students to gain competencies to function effectively in an increasingly complex society.
Projects collaborating with community groups or businesses are encouraged. Projects should pioneer new approaches, neither repeating a previously successful project nor providing routine classroom supplies. Grant funds may purchase project equipment or hire consultants to assist with the project if they are a necessary part of the overall objective of the project. Travel may be funded only as an integral part of an overall educational program. Requests must not conflict with District responsibilities, programs, or purchase plans. Salaries or similar compensation for time will not be funded. The maximum grant amount for the current offerings will be stated. If grants include equipment, the funds are for purchase only, and the ongoing maintenance and repairs are the responsibility of the District.
Applicants will be able to pick up packages either at the District Offices or from their School principal.
